Pre-K

This classroom serves children ages 4 turning 5 by September 1st who are preparing to enter kindergarten the following year. Our focus in this room is still to learn through play, however children will have more guided activities that build on those basic fundamentals and start to slowly prepare them for kindergarten. Teachers assist children with kindergarten readiness skills which include early literacy and language, basic math concepts, social interaction, problem solving, self-help skills, and decision making. Pre-k also participates in field trips to local parks, libraries and other establishments.
